Don’t Consider Semi-Final Match with India as Big Match, Take It as Big Opportunity, Urges Bangladesh Coach

June 14, 2017 03:10AM

PTI, 14th June: Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha urges his team to consider semi-final match with India a big opportunity not a big match, intending to lessen the pressure of his side. He believes that considering an opportunity will keep players more motivated and inspired that would turn into performance. But taking it as a big match will pressurize the team to perform well.

Bangladesh, ranking at sixth in ODI, entered semi-final round beating New Zealand and knocking them out of the tournament last week and all set to play semi final against India on 15th June, 2017.  Though, they got beaten in the first match despite posting a huge total above 300 runs on board against England. Even in their second match against Australia, they could be considered lucky as rain played spoiltsport and gained a point in their kitty.

The batsmen of the team look balanced and at sublime form and bowlers are also contributing all along. They became qualified for playing in Champion trophy after crushing West Indies and so far justified their inclusion. However, semi-final match with India will not be any easy for them even though everyone knows cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties. To beat strong and mighty Indian team, Bangladesh needs to play the cricket game of their lives.
